The World of Biddy and May’s

Biddy and May’s, or the Reunified Catholic Church, Celtic Rite of the Exemplary Saints Brigid of Ireland and Mary of Bethany, is a church based on Cityside as it might be in about 20 years’ time. I refer to the (slightly alternate) universe in which it is set as the World of Biddy and May’s or WOBAM.

Projected fictions set in the WOBAM (in order of internal chronology):

The novel Topia.
Short stories about Jill, a White Star Order chaplain at the foot (or possibly the top) of a Space Elevator.
Up the Line, about the development of the Space Elevators and the sociological changes they bring. Told probably as if a documentary with many short scenes/interviews?
Canned Goods Inspector, short stories about a United Regions inspector - the only honest cop, etc., etc. - who fights corruption and criminality in orbital habitats (“skycans”).
State of Lunacy - probably a connected novel with the offspring of some of the characters in Topia going to the wild frontier society of the Moon, which exists in an “alternative political status”.
New Heavens and a New Earth, connected novel or short stories about late-21st-century terraforming of Venus. Characters from earlier fictions probably recur.
