Challenge Resolution

Several alternative resolution systems are available:

  • Rule of Three, in which elements such as background, equipment and motivations are individually not very powerful, but are closely linked (d6-based system);
  • Underdog, in which you gain more power by defeating opponents more powerful than you, boosting your power to do so by making use of attributes (the things that make your character interesting) (d4, d6, d8, d10, d12);
  • How I Feel, in which how strongly you feel about various things gives you a pool of dice which you roll against a skill number (d6);
  • The Gate, in which you have a skill level and can gain bonuses by rolling d6s - but what counts as a success changes as your Fatigue and Injury change.
