Innocent Man
The Innocent Man is a rarely-used mask which portrays a kind of “holy fool”. As a fool, he is permitted to say things which would normally be taboo but are excused by his naivite.
Felkor says: “…any question asked by the character is to be taken, not as a veiled insult or intended blasphemy, even if such is the plain meaning of it, but as the question of an uninformed innocent who means no harm thereby.
“The Innocent Man has no enemies, for he offends nobody. He is openhearted and generous. It is always wrong, and always an offence, to challenge him, or to attack him; he should be protected, rather.”
The mask of the Innocent Man is a white sheep’s wool domino with wide eyes and raised eyebrows. There is no specific associated costume.
Gregorius Bass is, entirely appropriately, masked as the Innocent Man.
